AAA is going to provide a free service to keep impaired drivers off the road.

Triple-A is activating its "Tow to Go" program in Georgia and other select states for a 25th year.

Tow to Go is active Friday September 1st, beginning at 6:00 p.m. EDT,  through 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 5th to its members and non-members.

"Tow to Go" provides tow truck transport service for driver and vehicle alike to a safe location within 10 miles of the incident, for free.

AAA officials add that apointments cannot be scheduled in advance to use Tow to Go. It is designed as a safety net for those who did not plan ahead.

They encourage everone to always choose a designated driver before celebrating.
