With the region races involving Northeast Georgia teams continuing to heat up, several can go for series wins or sweeps on Wednesday. Others, however, will be looking to keep pace after losses on Monday.
In Region 8-7A, Buford (4-10, 2-4 Region 8-7A) travels to Mill Creek (9-7, 4-0 Region 8-7A) looking to even their best-of-three series. The Wolves have dropped two straight overall.
In Region 8-6A, Gainesville (8-8, 2-4 Region 8-6A) will go for a series win against Lanier (13-5, 6-3 Region 8-6A) in Sugar Hill. Habersham Central (11-5, 5-1 Region 8-6A) will also go a series win against Jackson County (7-11, 4-2 Region 8-6A) in Mt. Airy, as will first place North Forsyth (10-6, 5-0 Region 8-6A) against struggling Shiloh (4-11, 0-9 Region 8-6A) at home.
In Region 8-5A, Flowery Branch (10-7, 3-2 Region 8-5A) will go for a series sweep against Eastside (10-7, 1-3 Region 8-6A) at the Hog Mountain Sports Complex. Jefferson (12-4, 4-1 Region 8-6A) goes for a series sweep against Heritage-Conyers (4-11, 0-3 Region 8-6A) on the road.
Regin 8-4A continues to be a slugfest and several key series will continue on Wednesday. Class 4A No. 1 Cherokee Bluff (15-0, 1-0 Region 8-4A North) will go for a series win against East Hall (4-12, 0-4 Region 8-4A North) while Chestatee (10-7, 3-1 Region 8-4A North) will try to even its series with East Forsyth (10-6, 3-1 Region 8-4A North) with both teams tied for second in the subregion.
