A man has now been charged with murder following the death of one of the two people he allegedly shot in unincorporated Lawrenceville on Nov. 7.

The Gwinnett County Police Department said in a press release Terrance Alonzo Washington, 43, allegedly shot Daqwayvious Kleckley, 20, and Kleckley's mother, Deyawnday Kleckley, 44, at a home on Dayspring Trace.

The agency said Daqwayvious recently died as a result of his injuries, while Deyawnday is still being treated for her injuries at a local hospital.

Washington, who had previously been in a relationship with Deyawnday, is now facing additional charges including felony murder and malice murder.

Washington was previously arrested on Nov. 8 on two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and theft by taking.

The agency said officers initially responded to the home at about 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 over a report of a domestic dispute.

"As officers arrived, they parked their patrol cars a few houses away," the release said. "As they were approaching on foot, they heard gunshots coming from the driveway of the home."

Washington was allegedly seen fleeing the area in a vehicle while the two victims lay in the driveway.

Officers immediately began to render aid until Gwinnett County Fire arrived on the scene.
