A woman facing a vehicular homicide charge is being sought by Lumpkin County authorities after she recently failed to attend a mandatory court date.

Lindsey Charlene Le Barron, 26, was last known to be in the area of Elberton, Ga., just west of the South Carolina border. Le Barron was said to be a Dahlonega resident at the time of her intial arrest.

Following a 2018 single-vehicle wreck that killed her passenger, 40-year-old Dahlonega resident Jason M. Caldwell, Le Barron was charged with Homicide by Vehicle in the First Degree, Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Failure to Wear a Safety Belt.

"Lindsey Charlene Le Barron has a BENCH WARRANT [sic] issued for her arrest and we would like to ask for anyone with any information on her whereabouts to contact Captain Marcus Sewell at 706-482-2619 or [email protected] ," said Lumpkin County Sheriff's Lt. Alan Roach in an email sent to media late Tuesday afternoon.

Lt. Roach said anyone with information could also choose to contact the specific law enforcement agency that has jurisdiction over the area where the suspect is currently located.
