International spring break travelers must quarantine before going back to school

Gwinnett County Public School System has said that anyone who travels outside of the country during spring break must quarantined for seven days after their return. According to the AJC, that goes for all students and staff.

If international travelers don't get tested when they return, they will be quarantined for up to ten days after they get home. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends international travelers get tested 3-5 days after returning and self-quarantining for seven days.

Spring break is April 5-9 this year.

According to the U.S. Census, more than a quarter of Gwinnett County residents were foreign born between 2015 and 2019. The school district says it has students from 181 different countries.
