A Maysville woman is facing multiple charges following her involvement in a seven-hour standoff with police in Jackson County Friday.
According to a Facebook post from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, 58-year-old Diana Dellana was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, and additional warrants are pending on firing at construction workers.
A deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene near Pinetree Circle Friday afternoon after Jackson County 911 received a call from construction workers stating a resident had fired shots at them.
The woman barricaded herself inside her home and Jackson County deputies made multiple attempts to communicate with the woman to get her out.
Around 4:42 p.m., Hall County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team arrived at the scene and made further attempts to get her out of the home. Just after 7 p.m., seven hours after the initial 911 call, the SWAT team entered the residence and arrested the woman.
