About midway through the period, TMU was awarded a PK and Susanna Peppers converted the opportunity giving her team a 1-0 lead. TMU would hold on to the lead do to fine play from their defense, limiting their opponent to only two more shots throughout the rest of the match.

Coach David McDowell was pleased with his team's play, not concerning this game but throughout the whole weekend. ""It's always tough to play 2 games in 3 days but the girls did great again in getting the result," said McDowell. "This is a young team so to grind out two results like we did says a lot about our character."

The Lady Bears' next match will be at home on September 8th at 5pm against Ave Maria.
