NEW ORLEANS — The North Georgia women's track and field team was named a 2017 All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Nighthawks finished the year with a 3.326 grade point average.
There were over 190 teams awarded in Division II with North Georgia being honored as one of 115 women's teams to be named an All-Academic Team.
UNG and Columbus State represented the Peach Belt Conference in the list of women's teams recognized.
