Forsyth County teen charged in deadly July 14 wreck

By AccessWDUN Staff
Charges have now been filed in a three-car accident that left an 18-year-old from Forsyth County dead earlier this month.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Doug Rainwater confirmed Wednesday that Natalie D'Allen, 17, was charged with second degree vehicular homicide and failure to yield following the July 14 crash on Spot Road at the entrance to Sawnee Mountain Visitor Center.

D'Allen, a student at Lambert High School, was also charged with driving in violation of license restrictions because she had a passenger in the car that was not a family member. Rainwater said D’Allen had been issued an intermediate license on February 22 and was not yet allowed to carry non-family member passengers in her vehicle.

At the time of the crash, D'Allen had made a left-hand turn onto Spot Road from the visitor center. Authorities said she pulled into the path of a vehicle being driven by MacKean Robertson, 18, of Cumming.

The impact pushed Robertson's car into another vehicle in the westbound lane of Spot Road. Robertson died at the crash scene.

Rainwater confirmed that D'Allen turned herself in to police on Sunday, July 23. She has since been released from jail on bond.

He said authorities do not suspect alcohol or drugs as factors in the accident.
