Clarkesville animal owners released on $10,000 bond each

CLARKESVILLE — The Clarkesville residents facing nearly 350 charges each in connection with the recent animal cruelty investigation of a puppy mill just outside Clarkesville have been released from jail.

Teresa Ann Bramblett and Clarence Edward Bramblett are charged with 340 counts each of animal cruelty and one count each of holding or possessing a game animal without a permit, according to Habersham County Animal Care and Control Director Madi Hawkins. They turned themselves in to the Habersham County Detention Center, where they each posted a $10,000 bond.

More than 400 animals, including more than 300 dogs, were impounded following an investigation that began April 12. Other animals impounded at the scene included cats, goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, chickens, ducks, doves, chinchillas, a llama, a horse and a squirrel.
