BLUE RIDGE — Both North Hall teams took big wins over Fannin County Thursday to secure top seedings in the upcoming Region 7-AAA Tournament.
The Lady Trojans lost just one game collectively in a 5-0 victory to nailed down the the No. 1 overall seed. The boys took a 4-1 win to secure the No. 2 seed.
For the girls, Anna Montgomery and Christen Barnes won 6-0, 6-0 at the top two singles and Lauren Davis won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
The doubles teams of Carsen Baumgardner and Raquel Kallab and Ella Oxley and Baylee Turner both won 6-0, 6-0 to complete the sweep.
The Lady Trojans moved to (9-4, 5-0 Region 7-AAA).
For the boys, Masa Kobayashi won a tough match at No. 1 singles 7-5, 7-6 (7-4). Christian Boychuk won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. The No. 1 doubles of Daniel Martin and Shawn Wallhausen and the No. 2 doubles of Ethan Surles and Jackson took straight-set wins.
Fannin County got its lone win at No. 3 singles.
Both North Hall teams will play host to Stephens County on Monday.
