Flowery Branch man charged with stabbing victim in chest, leg and face

James Burner, 39, of Flowery Branch was charged with aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing an individual in the chest, leg and face yesterday.

The victim was transported by ambulance, to the Northeast Ga Medical Center where he underwent surgery for his injuries. The victim is currently out of surgery and recovering.

The incident took place on the 5000 Block of Hog Mountain Road. Authorities say Burner and the victim knew each other.

Burner was arrested without incident by officers with the Flowery Branch Police Department. He was then booked in the Hall County Jail. No further charges are anticipated in this case.

This case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
