A pavilion at Alberta Banks Park near Flowery Branch is being named for a late Hall County farmer and philanthropist.
A release from the Hall County Government said a ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 10 at Alberta Banks Park to dedicate the G.C. Crow Pavilion. Hall County District 1 Commissioner Kathy Cooper said Crow and his family played an important role in the South Hall area's history and she's honored to recognize him with the dedication.
“G.C. Crow was a local farmer, philanthropist and leader who strived for the betterment of his community," Cooper said. "I am proud to honor him and his family with this new dedication, which serves as a small token of gratitude for a man who spent his life in service and dedication to others.”
Alberta Banks Park is located on a road already named in Crow's honor, G.C. Crow Road. The pavilion is located outside of the park's pickleball courts, and the April 10 ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m.
