By B.J. Williams

Two people, including a 14-year-old, have been arrested in the Tuesday night shooting death of a pizza delivery man from Buford.

Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Deon Washington announced the arrests of Jermaine Young, 21, and the teen, Reginald Lofton, 14, who is being charged as an adult, according to a press release Thursday afternoon.

Washington said the motive in the shooting death of Shane Varnadore, 28, appeared to be robbery. Varnadore was shot and killed while delivering pizza to the apartment complex at 1400 Herrington Road in Lawrenceville.

Washington said the two suspects both face charges of felony murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery.

Young was booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center and the 14-year-old was transported to a metro RYDC facility, according to Washington.
