Bobcats race past UNG men

DAHLONEGA — Georgia College's Terrell Harris led five Bobcats in double figures with a game-high 31 points as Georgia College downed the University of North Georgia men's basketball team, 95-59, in Peach Belt Conference action on Saturday afternoon in Memorial Hall.

Juan Rivas and T.J. Williams combined to score 30 points for North Georgia.

The Nighthawks fall to 5-20 overall and 3-13 in conference play, while GC improves to 17-8, 10-6 PBC.

After trailing by 11 (17-6) just over five minutes into the contest, North Georgia answered to even the game at 24 apiece with 7:59 to play before intermission. GC responded with a 12-2 run and never looked back.

NOTES
- GC's Rio McMillan tallied a career-best 17 points, knocking down three from behind the arc while Isaac Thomas added 13 points and nine rebounds.

- UNG's Michael Varrichione added nine points and seven rebounds for the Nighthawks, while Sean Brennan pitched in with eight points and four assists.

North Georgia plays its final home game of the season on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. against USC Aiken.
