Police: 1 dead, several injured in Norcross shooting

NORCROSS, Ga. (AP) Police are investigating a shooting in Norcross that has left one man dead and several injured.

Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Deon Washington says the shooting happened Wednesday night shortly after a caller told police there was a group of about 20 men preparing to fight in the street on Reddington Lane. The identity of the dead man was not immediately released as authorities worked to notify the man's family.

Washington says at least three victims have been taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds. Multiple homes and vehicles were also struck during the exchange of gunfire.

Washington says authorities are trying to determine the motive for the shooting.

As of early Thursday morning, no arrests had been made in the case.
