GAINESVILLE - Letters are going out to the parents of students attending the Hall County schools the state says failed Adequate Yearly Progress this year.

The list of "needs improvement schools" was released a week ago.

The letters spell out options available under the No Child Left Behnd Act which include transferring a student to another school or accepting tutoring.

According to information posted on the school system's Web site, the letters began going out late last week.
