GAINESVILLE - Hall Area Transist, which operates the Red Rabbit bus system in Gainesville, is embarking on a long-term strategic planning process this month.
Transprtation Coordinator Christine Casper says the goal is two-fold.
"What (does the public want) in a public transportation system, what are they willing to support, and it gives us an opportunity to educate folks on what we do," Casper said.
Casper says this will be accomplished through a survey of the current ridership and one-on-one interiews with business and community leaders; public information sessions; and, an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of public transportation in Hall County, and opportunities for improvement.
The location, dates, and times of the public information sessions will be announced later, according to Casper.
