Even Xavier can appreciate these underDawgs from Georgia
WASHINGTON -- Everybody appreciates an underDawg, including Stanley Burrell and his Xavier teammates. So Burrell and the rest of the Musketeers, members of the not-enough-respect Atlantic 10 Conference, gathered at coach Sean Miller's home last weekend to watch the SEC tournament final, rooting for Georgia to complete its out-of-nowhere surge to that title.

Humphrey hoping to pull thorn from side in this year's NCAA tournament
ATHENS -- Tasha Humphrey is ready for her final college run before she takes her talents to the WNBA. On Sunday, the former Gainesville High School standout and No. 9 seed Georgia (22-9) will take on No. 9 Iowa (21-10) in the first round of NCAA Tournament in Norfolk, Va. Tip off will be at approximately at 2:30 p.m.

Georgia LB Marcus Washington expects to miss season
ATHENS -- Georgia linebacker Marcus Washington, who started six games for the Bulldogs in 2007, said Monday he will undergo shoulder surgery and expects to miss the 2008 season.

Felton will be back to coach Dogs next season
ATLANTA -- Dennis Felton received a bear hug and some good news from his boss after Georgia's SEC tournament championship victory over Arkansas on Sunday. Athletic director Damon Evans said Felton will return as Georgia's coach next season.
