LSU takes SEC title
Second baseman Tyler Hanover knocked in the game-winning run in the top of the 11th inning with a single to left, and junior right-hander Anthony Ranaudo fired three final shutout innings to lift LSU to a 4-3 victory over Alabama in 11 innings to clinch the SEC Tournament Championship Sunday afternoon in Regions Park.

The storybook season of the North Georgia softball team came to a close on Saturday evening as Metro State used the a pair of home runs to take a 4-1 win and eliminate the Saints from the 2010 NCAA Division II World Series at Heritage Park.

Clemson eliminates Tech from ACC tourney
Clemson's Richie Shaffer scored three runs and drove in three, while freshman Will Lamb pitched 6 1/3 strong innings to lead the Tigers to a 9-3 win over sixth-ranked Georgia Tech at the 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Championships at NewBridge Bank Park.

Lady Dogs advance to 2nd straight CWS
The Georgia Bulldogs defeated the California Golden Bears, 10-1, in five innings Saturday afternoon in front of a crowd of 1,494 at the UGA Softball Stadium to win the NCAA Softball Athens Super Regional and advance to the 2010 Women's College World Series.
