The Pride of Greensboro College handed the Piedmont College men's soccer team a 4-1 loss on Saturday afternoon. Piedmont could not overcome an early goal by Greensboro on the road dropping the conference contest to the Pride who currently sit atop the conference table with 25 points through nine games.

Uga IX, affectionately known as “Russ,” is officially retiring as Georgia's bulldog mascot at age 11, after working 25 games as an interim mascot from 2009-12, then another 38 games as Uga IX from 2012-14.

Freshman Hannah Solesbee shot a career low one-over 73 and sits in a tie for second out of 56 golfers at the midway point of the second LeeAnn Noble Memorial Golf Tournament held at the par-72, 5,887-yard Achasta Golf Club.

University of North Georgia sophomore Ivan Acimovic was named the Peach Belt Conference AstroTurf Men's Soccer Player of the Week the league office announced on Monday.

The USA South Athletic Conference has released the seventh Player of the Week listing for the fall with Cassidy Reich continuing her dominance in the league earning USA South Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.
