The high school basketball schedule continues to heat up this weekend, with several teams playing non-region games and Thanksgiving Tip-off tournaments.

It was a rough opening round for northeast Georgia area teams, with just six of the 17 teams that qualified for the playoffs in the GHSA, GIAA, and GAPPS advancing past the first round.

Commerce might have the toughest draw in the second round of any Northeast Georgia team on Friday.
