The running games of both the Stephens County Indians and the Hart County Bulldogs clashed Friday at Stephens County High School. Stephens County (9-0, 5-0) remains undefeated after a dramatic 20-7 win over Hart County (7-1-1, 5-1).

By sealing a win over the East Hall Vikings (0-9) Friday night, the North Hall Trojans (9-0) are only one week away from completing a perfect season. With eight different players scoring touchdowns and a fierce defensive effort, the Trojans dominated the night with a 73-20 win over the Vikings.

It was a cat fight to the end as Banks County held on to beat Dawson County 28-21 Friday night in a key Region 8B-AA game.

It was Senior Night at Flowery Branch but it would not be the last time the senior Falcons would play at home. Flowery Branch pounded Johnson 42-13 at Falcons Field behind senior quarterback Jaybo Shaw. The Falcons' win, combined with a 40-14 Gainesville win over West Hall Friday, handed the Falcons the 7B-AAA subregion title.

The postseason remains a possibility for Chestatee, and the War Eagles can thank the rushing of their workhorse, a stifling defense and one huge play from a sophomore defensive back.
