Appeals panel upholds, amends penalty to No. 31 team
While upholding a P-5 level penalty to one of the top teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the National Motorsports Appeals Panel did opt to amend portions of the punishment levied against the No. 31 Richard Childress Racing team.

Skinner scores NeSmith Chevy WRS victory at Talladega
Michael Arnold of Hattiesburg, Miss. finished fifth on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Miss. to end his winning streak, but it was good enough to hang on to the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series point lead after Week 3 competition. Arnold has 146 points after three wins in four races driving the Strength Center Special.
