By AccessWDUN Staff

Lanier Christian Academy's rally fell one run show in a 5-4 loss to The Kings Academy on Thursday.

Kings jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second quarter and stretched it to 5-0 in the fourth inning before the Lightning answered in the bottom of the inning.

After Carter Raulerson reached on an error, Gavin Strabala drew a walk.  Camden Hohman also reached on an error, bringing Barry Waymack to the plate with the bases loaded. With two outs, Waymack greeted the first pitch with a line drive over the left field fence to pull within one.  LCA failed to score again, leaving the game-tying run on base in the seventh.

Waymack led the LCA offense with a home run and 4 RBIs, while Strabala and Isaac Dinn also added hits.

Hohman threw six innings and struck out 3. Raulerson came on in relief and held Kings scoreless.
