Republican Kent Henderson, a Hall County native and owner of Henderson Homes, plans to run for the District 3 seat on the Hall County Board of Commissioners.
Henderson announced his bid on Wednesday. He said he wants to improve District 3’s development and transportation.
“Growth is rapidly headed in our direction and could significantly alter the things we all love about District 3,” Henderson said. “We need county leaders that understand our development and transportation needs to ensure we have selective growth that will preserve our great quality of life.”
In 2012, he ran for Hall County tax commissioner but lost to Darla Eden, who garnered 52% of the vote. However, Henderson has served on the Planning and Zoning board, the Comprehensive Land Use Planning Committee and the Northeast Georgia Speech Center Board.
