Alice Fay Burrell

Mrs. Alice Fay Burrell age 82 of Hiwassee, Ga passed away on Monday March 09, 2020 at her residence following a sudden illness.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday March 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Doug Burrell will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday March 14, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  

Alice was born on December 29, 1938 in Canton, Ga to the late Virgil Sims and Emma Broome Sims. She was retired from Bellsouth where she worked as a operator and was of the Baptist Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dennis Burrell, daughter, Susan Burrell, brother, Amos Sims, grandson, Scott Delay, and grand-daughter, Allison Leigh Bertrang.   

Mrs. Burrell is survived by her daughter and son-law, Cheryl Valerio (James) of Jefferson, Ga, brother, Charles Sims of Jefferson, Ga, grandsons, Kristopher Delay (Mary Beth), Seth Delay (Briana), Drew Bertrang and 3 great grandchildren, Aislynn Delay, Luke Delay, and Andiana Delay.
