Betty Lou Brown Abel

Mrs. Betty Lou Brown Abel, age 90, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at The Oaks of Limestone, peacefully in her sleep, with her family by her side.

Memorial Services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Buford.  Pastor Craig Murray will officiate.  She will be taken back to Michigan for burial.

Mrs. Abel was born May 17, 1929 to the late William G. & Laura G. Bennett in Grosse Point Farms, Michigan.  She was a Registered Nurse with Albion Community Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1988.  She enjoyed traveling, reading, crafts and the computer.

Mrs. Abel is survived by her son, Larry D. Ware of Quincy, Michigan; daughters, Donna Warner of Homer, Michigan, Mindi Sipe of Butler, Indiana and Gerry Brown of Flowery Branch; 8 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 12 great great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by husbands, James E Brown and Earl J. Abel; and daughters, Pamela Lawson and Eva Marie Ware.
