Joyce Long Smith

Mrs. Joyce Long Smith, age 77, of Frank Arrowood Road, Cornelia passed away Thursday July 4, 2019 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Sam Long and Cleo Ellard Stowe, she was born January 26, 1942 in Stephens County, having lived most of her life in Stephens and Habersham County. She was employed with Fieldale for a number of years and later retired from ConAgra. She was a member of Old Toccoa Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her twin sister baby Long.

Survivors include her companion of the home Jimmy Truelove, sons William Odis Smith and Steven Lynn Smith of Cornelia, three grandchildren Jackie Lynn Smith, Latasha Ann Gosnell and Colby Stancil and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday July 6, 2019 at 2 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Roger Elrod officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 P.M. til 8 P.M.

Interment will follow in Old Toccoa Baptist Church

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Johnny Rider, William Odis Smith Jr. and Bradley Gosnell.
