Jack Gary Spivey, Jr,

Jack Gary Spivey, Jr, age 72, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019. He was preceded in death by parents, Jack Gary and Ruby Wren Spivey; and brothers, Tommy Spivey and Ricky Spivey. Mr. Spivey is survived by his wife of thirty years, Jean Higgins Spivey, Suwanee; children, Cynthia and Jesse Evans, Augusta, GA, and Sylvia Hammock, Augusta, GA; step-daughter, Linda Dodd Pass, Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Gianna Evans, Jackson Evans, Lauren Pate, Kyle Hammock, and Scott Pass; six great grandchildren; sister, Fran Mathis, Augusta, GA; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce Higgins Dodd, Buford, GA, and Shirley and Bill Robertson, Tucker, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Mr. Spivey was born on April 15, 1947 in Augusta, GA. He was a three-year veteran of the U. S. Marines. He was a retired fireman from Dobbins Air Force Base after twenty-nine years of service. Mr. Spivey was a Mason and a member of Sweetwater Masonic Lodge, # 421 F. & A.M. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman, and he was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Buford, GA.  A memorial service with Masonic Rites will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church, 2988 N. Bogan Rd, Buford, GA with Rev. Brian Satterfield and Rev. Farrell Presley officiating.  All Masons are invited to serve as the Honorary Escort and are asked to assemble at the church by 2:45 p.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harmony Baptist Church, c/o Gary Elkins, 4326 Old Hamilton Mill Rd, Buford, GA 30518, in memory of Jack Spivey.
