Dennis Edward Grant

Dennis Edward Grant, 71, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Charles E. Grant, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on March 26, 1947 in Gainesville, GA he was the son of the late Estle L. and Alma Jenkins Grant. Mr. Grant had been employed as a mechanic for most of his life, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of New Holland Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Grant is preceded in death by his brothers, Louis Grant, Henry Grant, Perry Grant; sister, Evelyn Myers and brother in law, Mark Vieira.

Mr. Grant is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ellen Grant; daughters, Donna Grant Robinson of Lake Villa, IL; Dee Grant Nix of Alto, GA; son, David Grant (Frankie) of Murrayville; grandchildren, Amberlee, James Denver, Kesslee, Carlee, Mackenzie, Madison, DJ, Jeromy, Megan, Ashley, Landon, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Aubri, Averi; brother, Doyle Grant (Nancy) of Dahlonega and a number of other relatives also survive.

A very special thanks to Hospice and four special angels, Karen, Leslie, Melinda and Chris.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia in memory of Mr. Grant.
