Hester O’dell Kinton Jones

Hester O’dell Kinton Jones, 92, of Cumming passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Seasons Hospice.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Robert P. Jolly officiating. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Born on November 10, 1925 in Winterpock, VA she was the daughter of the late Oscar Leonard and Columbia Thomas Vest Kinton. Mrs. Jones was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who loved to care for her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, FL.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her brother, Otis Elton Kinton, Walter Earl Kinton; sister, Florence Virginia Kinton Covington; brother, Thomas Kinton; sister, Joan Marie Kinton.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 73 years, Willis Lee Jones of Cumming; son, Ronnie Lee Jones of Temple, GA; daughter Sandra Hester Jones Emmett and husband, Michael E. Emmett of Cumming; son, Willis Lee Jones, II and wife, Susan Joan Keicher Jones of Newnan, GA; granddaughters, Rhonda Ann Jones Amorino and husband, Al Amorino of Holiday, FL, Courtney Brooke Emmett Campbell of Alpharetta, Jennifer Paige Emmett Halliday and husband, Evan Stuart Halliday of Alpharetta; grandson, Lance Thomas Benchley of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughter, Scarlett O’dell Benchley of Brandon, FL; great grandson, Christian Eicher of Holiday, FL; great granddaughter, Zoie Eicher of Holiday, FL; sister, Betty Jean Kinton Shifflet of Mechanicsville, VA;  and a number of nieces and nephews.
