Millard Dean Millwood, 83, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Ivester and Reverend Oma Millwood officiating. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on February 4, 1935, he was the son of the late Luther Oliver Millwood and Jane Sheriff Millwood. Mr. Millwood retired after 47 years as a Tech Mechanic at New Holland Mill. He was a member of Free Chapel and he loved gardening.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Millwood is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Saine Millwood; brothers, Charles, Kenneth and Larry Millwood; sister Vera Harrell, Mamie Gooch and granddaughter, Caroline Addlesburger.

Mr. Millwood is survived by his son, Tim Millwood (Vicky) of Hoschton; daughters, Cindy Ivester (Ken) of Flowery Branch, Misty Addlesburger (Steven) of Flowery Branch; brother, George Millwood (Evelyn) of Gainesville; sister, Mattie Moore of Gainesville; brother in law, Bob Harrell; sister in law, Oma Millwood; grandchildren, Derek Millwood (Ansley), Jared Millwood, Caleb Millwood, Hannah Ivester, Gracie Ivester, John Isaac Ivester, Olivia Addlesburger, Ansley Addlesburger Millwood, Meghan Addlesburger Parks, Danielle Addlesburger, Taylor Addlesburger-Snelling; great-grandsons, Braden Millwood, Berlin Lopez and a number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
