Margaret Lovada Garland White

Mrs. Margaret Lovada Garland White age 88 of Athens formally of Toccoa passed away Saturday April 7, 2018 at The Oaks of Athens.

A daughter of the late Rowlis and Lina Cobb Garland, she was born on September 18, 1929 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived most of her life, having lived the past 15 years in Athens. She was employed with Coats and Clark for a number of years and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Hoyt White in 1984 and a son Donnie Lee White.

Survivors include a son Danny Joe White of Athens, three grandchildren Brandon White, Jason White and Courtney White, one great-grandson Jack, a daughter-in-law Linda White of Athens, three nieces Jeanette Jameson, Shirley Neal and Vicky Ragsdale.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday April 10, 2018 at 1 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Jerrell Beatty. The family will be at the home and will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 A.M. til service time.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Brandon White, Jerry White and Jason White.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
