Jeffrey Scott Floyd

It is with great sadness that the family of Jeffrey Scott Floyd announces his passing after a brief illness on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the age of 54. Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his Mom, Dad, son Justin and his extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Rev. Earl Pirkle and Rev. Chad Dale will officiate. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00pm on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.

He was born on January 25, 1964 in Gainesville, Georgia. Jeff is survived by his parents Lawrence and Dot Floyd, son Justin Floyd, and many aunts, uncles and cousins along with dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Will and Elizabeth Floyd and Artice and Ollie Mae Mincey.

Jeff graduated from Gainesville High School and attended Gainesville College. He served his country in the United State Marine Corp. Jeff was previously employed as a firefighter with the Hall County Fire Department and was a proud member of the Smoke Divers Team with the Georgia Fire Academy. He was currently employed by the Georgia Department of Transportation as an EO3 employee and involved in highway dedication services. Jeff enjoyed going to the beach, playing golf and hanging out with his friends.
