Betty Ramey Harris

Betty Ramey Harris, age 87, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, Roy Harris; parents, Emory and Era Higgins Ramey; sister, Peggy Ramey Robinson; brothers, Howard Ramey, and Harold “Buddy” Ramey. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Tammy Harris, Buford, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Richard Tolan, Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Evan and Hillary Tolan, Alto, GA, and Caitlin Tolan, Flowery Branch, GA; three great grandchildren, Conner Passmore, Jeramiah Tolan, and Piper Tolan; sister, Polly Ramey Bramblett, Buford, GA; sister-in-law, Virginia B. Ramey, Buford, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Deborah Ramey, Cumming, GA; brothers-in-law, John Ralph Harris, Monroe, GA, and David House, Buford, GA; caregivers, Crystal, Lakesha, Marsha, Tammy P.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Harris was born March 18, 1930 in Buford, GA. She received her education from Sugar Hill School. She was a homemaker, and a longtime member of Buford Church of God, and was a member of the Solid Rock Sunday School Class at Buford Church of God. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing roses at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford with Pastor Joey Grizzle and Pastor Jentezen Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
