Rupert Joe Walls

Rupert Joe Walls, 88, of Cumming passed away Friday, May 12, 2017.  He was born to Claude C. and Effie Corn Walls and was a native of Forsyth County.  Mr. Walls was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Stevens Walls; brothers, Glyndon Walls, Luther Gene Walls, Harley Walls, Edmond (Doodle) Walls, and Charles Walls.

Survivors include children, Julia K. (Rory) Osborne of Gainesville, John C. Walls of Forsyth County, M. Laura Walls of Decatur; brother, Grady Dean (Evelyn) Walls; sisters, Evelyn Pylant and Pat (Norman) Miller; sister-in-law, Janice Walls; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Sawnee View Gardens with Dr. Scott Gilbert officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Concord Baptist Church Music Ministry.
