Robert Doug Kenimer

Robert “Doug” Kenimer age 71 of Dahlonega passed away on January 2, 2017. Doug was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.  He was born to the parents of Buster and Doris Bray Kenimer on July 4, 1945.  He was a self-employed developer and a well-known dirt track racer for many years.  Doug was inducted in 2005 into the National Dirt Track Hall of Fame and Georgia Dirt Track Hall of Fame. 

Mr. Kenimer is survived by his children David & Tammy Kenimer of Dahlonega, GA; Sandy (James) King of Manchester, GA; brother Larry Kenimer of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren: Dusty (Amanda) Kenimer of Dahlonega, GA, Maggie Frances Kenimer of Dahlonega, GA, Ethree King, Lillie King, Ezra King, and Ella King; great-grandchildren Dalton Kenimer and Tinley Kenimer, all of Dahlonega, GA.

Funeral Service will be Thursday January 5, 2017 at 2pm in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 8pm and again on Thursday from 12pm until service time.  Interment will follow service at Wahoo Baptist Church cemetery.
