Billy Garnett Davis

Mr. Billy Garnett Davis age 79 of Toccoa went to his heavenly home following an extended illness on December 16, 2016.
 
A son of the late Garnett and Annie Bell Murphy Davis, he was born on June 12, 1937 in Oconee County, South Carolina having lived most of his life in Toccoa. He was a loyal and dedicated employee of Coats & Clark having retired in 2002. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and attended the Men’s Sunday School Class.
 
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Annie Mae Williams Davis, daughter Rita Davis and friend Brian Pruitt of Toccoa, son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Lee Ann Davis of Carrollton, Georgia, grandchildren Ashley Wade, Justin Davis, Andrew Morrow, Brittany Davis, step-grandchildren Austin, Christian, Laney Thompson, great-grandchildren Mallory, Emma and Lilly, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Bonnie Davis of Toccoa, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Donald and Joan Walker of Villa Rica, Georgia, Emory and Barbara Williams of Toccoa, Georgia, Gary Williams of Toccoa, Georgia, Hampton and Hilda Williams of Snellville, Georgia, Danny and Cheryl Williams of Wynne, Arkansas and Terry and Bonda Sheriff of Toccoa, Georgia and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral Services will be held Monday December 19, 2016 at 2 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Leon Miller and the Reverend Ken Jackson officiating. The family will be at the home on Rock Creek Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 3 P.M. til 5 P.M. and 7 P.M. til 9 P.M and from 1 until service time on Monday.
 
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Justin Davis, Travis Williams, Andrew Morrow, William Walker, Michael Fultz and Terry Canady
 
Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
