John “Johnny” William Martin

Mr. John “Johnny” William Martin, age 74 of 166 Preacher Martin Road, Eastanollee, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at his home.

A son of the late Rev. Bill R. and Lillian Standridge Martin, he was born August 24, 1942 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was retired from Hanson Aggregates Southeast (Rock Quarry) with 43 years of service.  He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Jamison, brother, Leonard Martin, Sr. and by a sister, Gladell Pitts.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Pat Lusk Martin; five daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Cammock of Habersham County, Tammy and Ed Riddle of Eastanollee, Tracy and Dwayne Fowler of Lavonia, Connie and Buddy Redmond of Bogart and Tracey Moore of Toccoa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Casey and Amanda Sheriff of Martin and Michael and Pam Jamison of Toccoa; nine grandchildren, two of which were raised in the home, Jennifer and Heather and thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Doris Martin of Toccoa and Michael and Sharon Martin of Eastanollee; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Don Sanders of Toccoa and Deborah and Mike McCoy of Mt. Airy; sister-in-law, Sandra Martin of Lavonia.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 18, 2016, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Telford Tanksley and Mr. Buddy Redmond officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Shawn Martin, Chad Fletcher, William Parker, Kenneth Collins, Aaron Martin and Heath Martin.

The family will be at the home on Preacher Martin Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday and Saturday from 6 PM until 8 PM.

Interment will follow in Roselane Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. John “Johnny” William Martin.
