David A Pratt

Mr. David A Pratt, age 83 of Cumming, GA passed away on November 17, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center after a short battle with Leukemia.

Dave was born on February 5, 1933, in Worcester, MA to the late Kenneth and Madge Pratt. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Johanne Pratt, who he began dating at the age of fifteen. Dave and “Jo” married while he was still attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. After graduating from college, they moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he began his life long career in chemical engineering.

Throughout his life, Dave was known for his generosity and kind-heartedness. He was an active church member wherever they lived, leaving a positive impression on so many. He was a member of North River Church of Christ at his passing. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Carol Pratt of S. Burlington, VT; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Sandy Pratt of Bolton Landing, NY; son and daughter-in-law, David and Nancy Pratt of Birmingham, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Karl Lynn of Snellville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Curtis Rooker of Gainesville, GA and his four grandchildren; Clay Pratt, Conner Pratt, Lauren and husband, DeVonce Grant, and Allison Lynn.

The family will host a celebration of life service for family and friends at North River Church of Christ on December 3, 2016 from 2-4 PM in the FLC building. The church is located at 320 Austin Avenue NE, Marietta, GA 30060.
