Ralph Wayne Heard

Ralph Wayne Heard, age 72 of Cumming, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2016. Wayne was a lifetime member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church. He was a Master Barber and owned and operated Wayne Heard Barber Shop for many years. He also drove a school bus for Forsyth County School Board until he reached retirement.  Wayne was a gentle, loving father who adored his grandchildren and cherished his precious wife.  Wayne is preceded in death by his mother and father, Egbert Archie and Genelia Whitmire Heard; brother Cleon Egbert Heard and brother Archie Frank Heard.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Wagnon Heard; daughter Tracey Burgess of Canton, son Jonathon Wayne Heard of Cumming, and son and daughter-in-law, Jason Lloyd and Lisa Pruitt Heard of Cumming; grandchildren, Hunter Wayne Heard, Fisher Whitmire Heard, River Martin Heard, Nora Evangeline Heard, and Zoe Lee Heard of Cumming; sisters Betty Inez Heard of Cartersville and Virginia Heard Holbrook of Cumming; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4^th at 2:00 pm at Coal Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Ruel Martin, Rev. Danny Ray Martin, and Rev. Danny Bennett, officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Thursday from 9:00 am until time of service.
