Douglas A. Hamling

  Mr. Douglas A. Hamling, age 73 of Gainesville, formerly of Massachusetts, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

            Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Reeds, 4207 Melinda Lane, Gainesville, Ga 30507 between 4:00-8:00 p.m.

            Mr. Hamling was born on April 09, 1942 in Berkshire County, Massachusetts to the late Leonard Hamling and Eleanor Keefner Hamling. He was retired from Landscape Management Company and also served in the United States Army. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.

            He is survived by his wife, Sybil A. Turpin Hamling of Gainesville, daughters and husbands, Jody and Dave Bottorff of New York, Holly and Ronnie Reed of Gainesville, Mellody and Gary Loughrey of Cumming, his grandchildren, the loves of his life, Alex and Amanda Bottorff of New York, Kayla and Krysta Reed of Gainesville and Preston and Nate Loughrey of Cumming and brother, Jerry Hamling of Massachusetts.
