Mrs. Seay was born on September 7, 1921 in Gainesville to the late Joseph B. and Cora Whelchel Whitfield. She was retired from Gainesville Cotton Mill and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dee Washington Seay; brother-in-law, Herbert Allen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ida Belle and Carl Fowler, Lillie Ruth and Clyde Anderson Stewart; brothers, Jay B. Whitfield and Jesse Ray Whitfield, Sr.
Mrs. Seay is survived by her sister, Inez Allen of Summerville, N.C.; sister-in-law, Mary Evelyn Whitfield of Flowery Branch, GA and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend J.L. Yopp will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 6, 2015
