Dorothy 'Dot' Lorene White Watkins

Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Lorene White Watkins, age 87, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Pruitt Health Care of Toccoa.



Born December 4, 1927 in Toccoa, where she lived her entire life, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Pearl DeFoor White.



She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church for 52 years, the Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School Class where she served as Treasurer, and a member of the Senior Adult Fellowship Group.



Family members include her daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda Watkins Barnard and Jack, and Jean Watkins Hare and Lamar; granddaughter and spouse, Cristi Hare Jones and Matt; grandson, Jason Hare; great-grandson, Liam Jones; sisters-in-law, Myrtle White, Myrtis White, Margaret White; niece, Joyce Davis; nephews, Jerry White, Larry White, and Danny White.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Rex R. Watkins on January 15, 2015; brothers, Willard White, Hoyt White, Billy White; a niece and two nephews.



She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.



Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Friday, March 6, 2015 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jesse Colbert and the Rev. Wayne Marcus officiating.



Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.



The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Jerry White, Larry White, Danny White, Matt Jones, David Smith, and Bobby Watkins.



Jason Hare will serve as honorary pallbearer.



The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm
