Lucille Mincey Sosebee

Lucille Mincey Sosebee, age 89, of Dahlonega, GA died Saturday, January 3, 2015.

She was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and retired after 40 years of service at Burlington Industries Pine Tree Plant in Dahlonega. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, and a founding member of the St. Paul Goodwill Circle. She loved gardening, canning, quilting, and collecting travel mugs.

Lucille was the daughter of the late Cone Mincey and Nellie Rider Garmon, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Sosebee; son, Kenneth Sosebee; brothers, Gene Mincey, Kermit Mincey, J D Mincey, and George Garmon; and sister, Pauline Peck.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Sosebee and Ralph Sosebee; daughter, Nellie Sisk, all of Dahlonega, GA; daughter Jeanette Kemp, Murrayville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Chuck Windham; daughter-in-law, Angela Sosebee, all of Dahlonega; brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Louise Garmon, Clermont, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mae and Guy Miller, Murrayville, GA, Nancy and John Conner, Austell, GA; and sister, Bertie Stephens, Clermont, GA. 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Lucille are scheduled for 1 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Interment will follow in the St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Rev. David Bost will officiate.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 5 PM until 9 PM Monday, January 5, 2015, and from 9 AM until service time on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Bernadine King and the staff at Gainesville Heart Group and Northeast GA Medical Center Hospice.
