Joel D, Jenkins

Joel David Jenkins was born on April 7, 1959 to the late Beulah and Rev. Jesse David Jenkins. David was employed by Home Depot, Buford GA and he also worked for the Sears and Robuck Company for a long period of time. He was a member of Beech Haven Baptist Church, Athens, GA and attended St. John Baptist Church, Gainesville, GA. He attended East Hall High School (1977), Lanier Technical College and Gainesville College.
He is preceded in death by his mother, the late Beulah Jenkins and stepmother Hazel Jenkins. He departed this life on Saturday, September 13, 2014. He leaves to cherish his memories his father Rev. Jesse D. Jenkins, one sister: Cassandra Lynn Jenkins, both of Gainesville, GA, two uncles: Rev. Billy Joe (Betty) Jenkins Sr. of Sautee, GA, Mr. James (Mary Ruth) McCrary of Gainesville, GA, two aunts: Mary Catherine (Jimmy) Bryson and Flora Jean McCrary of Gainesville, GA, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at St John Baptist Church at 1pm. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home.
