Thelma Brewer Jones

Mrs. Thelma Brewer Jones, age 93, of Gainesville passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2014.



Mrs. Jones was born November 3, 1920 in Lula to the late Roscoe Clifton & Mattie Turner Brewer. She was a member of the Gainesville C.H. Church and a graduate of North Georgia Technical College. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Hammond C. Jones; brothers, Rev. Marvin Brewer and Roy Brewer; and sisters, Bess Carson and Lois Ball. Survivors include: children, Drs. Warren & Bobbie Jean Jones of Birmingham, Alabama, Doris Corn of Gainesville, Carol & Ron Pletcher of Tennessee, Linda Gilstrap of Gainesville, Randall & Gail Jones of Flowery Branch, and Lamar & Gail Jones of Flowery Branch; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Jones of Stone Mountain and Susan Brewer of Acworth; and numerous nieces & nephews.
