Ella Mae Driskell

Obituary Date: Friday, June 6, 2014
Mrs. Ella Mae Driskell age 97 of Gainesville, Died Friday June 6, 2014. She was the wife of the Late H. Clay Driskell who was a county commissioner for many years. Funeral service is scheduled for 4 pm Sunday June 8, 2014 in the Little-Davenport Chapel, the Rev. Harry Barron and Rev. Chris Brock will officiate and interment will follow in the Alta Vista cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 pm till 4pm the day of the service. Mrs. Driskell was born in Gainesville, Ga., she lived her life in service of the Lord and she was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Gainesville. She and her husband operated a farm together and she had also worked at Lyman Hall school for several years. She enjoyed being a caregiver to many and also helping with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son - Cecil S. Driskell and a great-great grandson - Clayton Scott Brown
Survivors include a daughter - Sarah DeLong
Granddaughters and spouses - Angie and Warren Bratten and Melanie and Chris Quinn
Great-grandchildren - Courtney Brown, Cody Bratten and Isabella Quinn
and Great-great grandchildren, Zoe and Zac Brown.
