Louise M. Hulsey

Louise M. Hulsey, 87, of Gainesville went home on Friday, April 4, 2014 to be with her Lord and Savior and all the ones who went on before her.

Born in Cumming, Ga on April 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Pearl Martin Phyfe. She graduated from Dawson County High School in 1943. She was employed as a seamstress for Hoschton Garment. She was a charter member of Living Hope Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Hulsey; grandson, William Spivey; brother, J.H. Phyfe; sister, Hazel Reeves.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Spivey of Gainesville, Melba Ree Hulsey of Gillsville, Melva Ann Orr of Gillsville, Juanita Hulsey of Braselton; son and daughter in law, Larry Franklin and Grace Hulsey of Gainesville; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday April 6, 2014 at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Alta Vista Cemetery. Rev. Frankie Spivey and Rev. Everest Carlisle will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
